Cover Reveal: Winter Wishes and Holiday Kisses

I’m so excited to be a part of this anthology!

My contribution, The One That I Love, has a special place in my heart. I wrote the very first draft of it way back before the pandemic. I had three goals at that time: write a complete short story, practice writing super sexy, “open door” adult shenanigans, and see if I could model the structure of the story after a then-current trend in the marketplace that I thought might be “easy”.

I hit two of the three goals. By the time I finished the first draft, I was no longer interested in writing to fit a “trend”. Instead, I was thrilled to type “The End” on my first ever short story and I was decently happy with my attempts at writing hight heat love scenes. Beta readers told me bossy David needed brothers so I could launch a series. I listened — one of the best decisions I’ve ever made — and in draft two, David’s two brothers showed up: breezy Connor, the sunny youngest son (and hero of The One That I Want) and broody Felix, the middle child who’s story is still percolating in my brain.

I set the story aside to work on some other projects, but when the opportunity opened up to be a part of Winter Wishes and Holiday Kisses, I knew the time had come. It was a joy to revisit David and Celia, to turn this story into a heartwarming Christmas gift of a love story and I cannot wait to share it with you.
